One of Mexico’s main deathmatch promotions, Destrucción Total Ultraviolenta (DTU) postponed its newest show, “Cantina Extrema”. Amid the Covid-19 crisis, many Mexican promotions are reinventing themselves to provide Lucha Libre once again. Mexico City is still paralyzed, with many promotions now, doing some trials with empty arenas. AAA and Vanguardia Lucha Libre have tried to do auto shows, the latter being canceled. We reported yesterday about the canceling of the Vanguardia Lucha Libre Autoshow. Because of the current Covid-19 pandemic, Vanguardia decided to take their shows to a private barn with fans sitting in their cars. This same idea has announced by AAA in a press conference. The Lucha Libre school and development company, Espiritu Pro Wrestling Dojo, will return during 2020 with a closed-door event in Puerto Rico. As has been reported in the country, the pandemic has weakened the possibilities for a Lucha Libre company to return with fans at medium capacity. As we have reported, Mexico City has been paralyzed during the Covid-19 pandemic. But, that did not stop a clandestine arena in San Louis Postosí to run a show at full capacity. This violated the law and the local Lucha Libre commission. But, as Lucha Blog reported, the commission did not have any power against the outer state clandestine Arena.
